Chateau Marquis de Vauban - Blaye

Delicious dinner, fantastic atmosphere, great owners who need the time to make sure they have the best time! we came back to this conclusion after a previous great experience, and we were not disappointed. we talked to some of the campers that were parked in the night in their van among the reben, and they were enchanted. unique place! highly recommended, no hesitation.

Two nights free camping place between the wine mountains. warm reception from the owner. spacious parking space with water and electricity. peaceful and quiet. beautiful wein and a great walk for the dog. easy to go to the city. we recommend this place very and we come back for...sure

We thought of a 17-hour afternoon wine tasting. the place was devastated and no one was around us. Finally a young man appeared who either had not washed his hemd for a week or had not submitted for a few...days geduscht his bo filed the room. no good start. the wee were at best below average. the place is very commercial and seems to be set up for large bus tours. we do not recommend this place.

We were warmly welcomed by well informed and friendly staff in to the restaurant which forms part of an enterprising wine business founded around the beautiful chateau. The meal was excellent, comprising a range of starters followed by a main course of local lamb or...fish. Both the main dishes were delicious and featured a tasty but reserved source which ensured the meat was tender and moist. Each course was accompanied by the chateau's wines which were presented by the staff in a clear manner that ensured we understood the selection as well as when and where it was harvested from the estate.

Une journée passée magnifiquement de la visite des chais ,le repas et les vins excellent, visite de la citadelle et de ses souterrains. Très bel accueil de tout le personnel et des propriétaires Mr et Mme Macé. a conseiller .
