Pier Seventeen - Blind River

We had a lovely meal at Pier 17, the menu is large with selections of pasta, chicken, pork, ribs, and steak! There are healthy options for vegetarians, which included a lovely pesto pasta with sautéed fresh summer vegetables! The pork souvlaki was excellent, served on a bed of rice and salad! The meal was served pleasantly and piping hot! I believe the meals include dessert! We had lemon tarts that were topped with fresh fruit compote! The wine selection was good and fresh brewed coffee topped off the meal! The only thing was an extra charge of $1.75 for extra taziki sauce for the souvlaki. I think the small amount of extra sauce should have been complimentary! The Staff are pleasant, but they often do not return or bring all the items needed to enjoy the meal! The menu does not explain that dessert is included! For a small town, the food is excellent! But the Staff could improve! My 4 rating is solely based on the food quality and beautiful atmosphere, overlooking the river!

We had the ceasar salad and it was one of the best my wife had ever tasted. Don't know what the other reviewer ate for the poor rating. Service was good, The restaurant was roomy, not cramped. The view from the outside deck was very nice. Overall a very good experience.TIP- the wings were tasty.

On Hwy 17 at western edge of the town of Blind River.On the water...newly and beautifully decorated...think wood with a classy touch. This is an excellent restaraunt for fine dining with a laid back atmosphere.Daily dinner specials are great to view and consume.I like the feel of this place inside or on the deck in couches or at the tables. On the water!Always had terrific freindly service....lunch or dinner...cold variety of beer on tap too.Quiet bar for the golfers.Can't wait to go backFAIR pricing!

We ate dinner here with our two young children on a trip to Sault Ste Marie. Good menu selections that are served with lots of tasty veggies which we enjoyed. Kids enjoyed their meals off the childrens menu. Our server was very attentive and aimed to please. This place should be

Evening meal, Alaska Halibut was excellent. Restaurant is located on the river beside the trans Canada highway, 17. Wait staff were pleasant, accommodating and efficient. There is outside seating on the patio located at the river edge. Very nice setting, weather permitting. Saturday prime rib special is awesome!
