Les Forges Du Chateau - Blois

Perfect for a glass of good wine and a bite to go along with it, before or after seeing the castle next door. The open wines were excellent, and so was our cheese platter accompanied by a simple but well dressed salad. Quick and simple but definitely worth the stop.

What a wonderful discovery, a beàutiful little restaurant next to the chateau in Blois. Super views out of the windows. Ecletic and interesting decor. The food was fresh, fast and excellent value for money. For me the jewel in the crown was the delightful courtyard full of blooming hydrangeas. The service was excellent, they even lent us an umbrella to go and get our car in a mega storm. Would definitely recommend and plan to return. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Dishes do not match their description, water tastes of plastic, staff not always pleasant or service oriented, mineral water served in plastic bottles at ice cold temperature.

After a truly awful meal in the town we stopped at Les Forges du Chateau for drinks and desserts pre the Son et Lumière show at the Chateau. the desserts were really excellent and all the drinks delightful real lemonade and cordials. Looking at other diners main courses we really wished we had our starters and main courses there as well.

The menu was fairly simple, mainly crepes and salads, but they were fine, although I don't think the crepes were fresh. Wine by the glass was nice. Service very good though
