Great Lakes Bloomfield Coffee

Friendly staff. Unique renovated look. Great place to get work done (plenty of power-plugs and good internet).

Good coffee, in a cozy atmosphere, for a great price. Plus, you can get food from the Maple Kitchen. What more could you want?! Love the fireplace. I got a yummy chai latte for $4.75. :

Quite an interesting little place. I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and wanted to find a coffeeshop nearby to do some work. Having been to the Great Lakes Coffee in Detroit, I figured this would be a great place to go! I had no idea this coffeeshop was attached to a movie theatre, and also combined with a restaurant. The counter is tucked away in the back, with a handful of tables which I assume are dedicated to Great Lakes. There are a bunch of other tables, but when I arrived at 1pm, it was full of people eating lunch. Luckily for me, one table opened up as I went to sit down. As someone who likes to do work from a coffeeshop, I can't really recommend this location. While the coffee itself was fine (I just ordered a black coffee) the environment was not conducive to studying/working. Being here during lunch made it rather loud, and there were people all around me sitting down to lunch. No fault to them obviously, but I like to be in an environment where a lot of other people are also working (or it's a bit quieter) so I won't return to this specific location. If you know Great Lakes, you know they have great coffee, so if you do just need a quick coffee fix, nothing wrong with this place.

Although everything was good, I expected slightly more flavor from this place. The design of the interior is good and everything seemed to be ok. We had the pick 2 combo, and everything was enjoyed. Open faced tuna melt, quinoa salad, and grilled cheese.

Really enjoyed the coffee. Our barista recommended their honey lavender (syrup made in store) and Ethiopia pour over. Both amazing.
