Indian Lakes - Bloomingdale

My husband rented the hotel for our 6 week postpartum get away after having our baby girl on thanksgiving 2020. Although the staff was wonderful the hotel itself was awful! It smelled like it’d been flooded time after time, yet we were on the second floor! I could barely breathe in the room! It was even worse when the heat came on. The elevator didn’t work and kept randomly opening when we would walk by. The carpet was disgusting. I wanted to get a refund ASAP so bad but we didn’t feel like cutting off our day plans short or suddenly taking the hour at half drive back home right away. All exciting parts were closed off. It definitely needs to be renovated. We will not be back unless renovated. You know how people say “i wouldn’t wish this on my worse enemy?” I actually would wish it on my worse enemy lol it was that bad.

Nice neighborhood, rooms were nice but outdated, we went for our 5th anniversary and got woken up at 2: 30 in the morning by the fire alarm going off. While trying to go downstairs we couldn't find the exit anywhere only elevators. 5th floor has major safety issues. Extremely dangerous since we looked for about 15 minutes. If it were a real fire we wouldn't have made it. When we finally got downstairs there were a bunch of people that weren't even staying at the hotel, they snuck in and were being loud and rude. They pulled the alarm and disturb the wedding that was being held there too. Fix your 5th floor emergency exits before someone dies if there's a real fire

They had a lot of garbage cans here and that was really cool. Republic lost the contract for Bloomingdale so they started stacking garbage cans all over the place in the parking lot since this place closed down. The garbage cans were cool to see in there was a giant shredder to shred all the garbage cans. The hotel looks nice

Visited in October. Quick check in, very spacious, good customer service. The room was beautiful and clean.
