When I arrived, I was the first person through the door and had to wait on my own while the staff prioritized preparing online orders. There were only 6 employees working, and the restaurant opened 30 minutes later than the advertised opening time. The fajitas seemed freshly made, but the guacamole was not up to par. The staff was unfriendly, but it's hard to blame them considering the chaotic day they were having. While Chipotle's food is usually good in theory, it was disappointingly lacking in execution at this location.
This is my third time at the Mall of America and it will be my last time coming to this Chipotle. The line was long and continued to get longer because they prioritize online orders. The staff was not the friendliest and it was crowded and hot inside. I was sweating while waiting in line for my order. I really wanted a cold drink but when I finally got one, there were only two options and I didn't like either. The machine didn't even have enough ice. They should have let customers know if they only had two options available. Additionally, they only had paper straws which kept breaking down while I was using them. I have always loved Chipotle but I had a bad experience at this location. I will definitely be going elsewhere in the future.
My family and I traveled from Chicago to the Mall of America for an early vacation. Unfortunately, our first negative experience was at this restaurant. We ordered 3 kids' chicken quesadilla meals with juice and sides, as well as 2 bowls - one with chicken and the other with beef. The kids didn't receive their drinks or sides, and the meat was cold. Additionally, the dishes were dry and lacked any accompanying sides. Overall, it was a disappointing meal.
The personal ensured that everyone who came to the right direction before the final customer was served. Of course, eating is always delicious, and the portions are worth the price.
Another mismanaged Chipotle. Complete and utter incompetence. No supervision, management is nonexistent. Small problems bring the whole restaurant to a grinding halt because the seven teenagers and one adult desperately avoid eye contact while they wish they weren’t there.
