We came here mostly for the convenience of location and their menu online looked really appetizing. We scheduled a reservation, and it was no problem getting patio seating for 6 on a Saturday evening. Service was fine and friendly. The menu they provided was decently different than the one online, but we decided to stay. Food came out within half hour, but unfortunately the food wasn't anything to rave about. My chicken for the salad was definitely overcooked and most was too tough to eat, and the roast beef sandwich was not too appetizing. Food was definitely too overpriced for the quality we got. We did really enjoy the patio seating, the french fries, and the burgers. Overall, the experience was a 7/10. Food does need a bit of work, but the service was good.
Service was lagging as there was only 1 server covering the whole dining area, it took a while for us to be seated. Food was attractive but surprisingly salty. Prices were reasonable for a hotel restaurant, but this place barely gets a 2 star.
Pad Thai noodles were raw. The chef doesn't know how to work with rice noodles. I sent the dish back and the second time it wasn't much better. The noodles had way too much sauce and they were badly undercooked. I called for a side plate to drain out the extra sauce. It was a terrible meal that I shouldn't have to pay for! They do have a good tomato soup and grilled cheese though. We ate at Urbana in early August.
This place has hands-down the worst service. Over the past 6 months I 've given them another chance several times (I 'm a local) but they wholly disappoint... There are better, friendlier, places in walking distance that get my business. Many servers (esp . bartenders) are rude and my basic orders have been incorrect more times than not. And So... Very... Slow... to welcome customers, take orders, and bring food. They don 't have a happy hour; the manager told me he doesn 't think hotel guests should get discounts there. Big loss. Nice spot, great patio, and a decent menu (not great, just decent). Sweet potato fries are good.
