This restaurant was absolutely fabulous and the server and could not have been nicer

Really wanted to give a high rating but you can’t mask bland with sodium chloride. The pork chop and Mexican pizza were unfortunately salty. The bacon dates were pretty good, risotto verde and the creole Mac cheese were a solid 3.5/5.

I recently visited DESTIHL with friends and family, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. As a plant-based eater, I requested a minor accommodation on my pizza, asking for a specific ingredient to be excluded. The manager rudely responded, “Well then it wouldn’t be what it is,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. I had to deal with three different employees before a fourth, who overheard the conversation, stepped in to help identify which foods didn’t contain dairy allergens. This person was the only highlight of an otherwise unpleasant visit. It’s disheartening that a simple request couldn’t be accommodated without such hassle and rudeness. If you’re a plant-based eater or have dietary restrictions, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Their customer service needs significant improvement.
