The Pedalin' Pig Bbq Catering Service

The food and service were quite good. Despite the restaurant being busy, they managed to accommodate our group well. I ordered the Peddling Pig plate, which included ribs, BBQ, and sausage. While the sausage was mediocre and overcooked, the BBQ and ribs were excellent. My only issue arose when I received the credit card bill a week later; they charged me for a meal that wasn’t part of our group’s order. Our total was $136 and change, but there was an additional charge of $111 and change. I disputed this with the credit card company, and they promptly removed the charge and credited us back that same day. I hope this was just an honest mistake, but it’s the reason I’m giving three stars. Be sure to keep an eye on your charges!

Please update your hours and engage with customers over the phone instead of simply answering with "we're closed" and hanging up immediately. Your posted hours on Google, your website, and Apple Maps all indicate that you're open. This situation is incredibly frustrating and rude. I can't believe the person who answered did not allow me to say anything or even greet me—just a quick "we're closed" followed by hanging up. This level of service is astonishingly disrespectful. Service: 1.

This is the former Woodlands BBQ spot in Blowing Rock, offering excellent Eastern-style BBQ. They have a decent bar and a good selection of draft beers. Personally, I prefer the Pulled Pork BBQ here over the ones in Boone and Banner Elk. The service is efficient, and there's plenty of parking available, although it can get crowded during peak hours in the busy seasons.
