Le Fou Frog - Blue Summit

This place was absolutely amazing! They treated all of us wonderfully! The food and drinks were some of the best we have ever had! I would highly recommend this place too anyone and everyone!

Great Food. Was very busy and reservations are recommended. Quirky atmosphere but charming for what it is. Very unpretentious for the cost and quality of the food. The wine list has good options from value to high end. We went for our anniversary and it was a little loud/rowdy for this occasion but the food is amazing. We will go again but maybe not for when we want a quiet and romantic evening out. Would be a great place to go with another couple or friends and order several dishes to share. The quality is incredible and I wish we could have tried more items on the menu. The portion sizes are a lot more generous than I would have expected for the quality and type of food. For my wife's first experience with authentic French food it was tremendous. I will get her to try the Escargot next time I am confident that the quality will be there so that she will have a good experience. The Service could have been better but it was very busy so I try to be a little more forgiving in that situation. It didn't seem like neglect it really seemed like too much going on. For the price and quality I would have expected the wait staff to have fewer tables so they could focus more on the patrons. It was a weeknight and it is possible that it was busier than they expected. Overall it was a good experience but I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic evening out as I don't think that is really their forte. Next time we will go with friends and not worry about the atmosphere. Hopefully this doesn't sound negative because I can't say enough about the food part of this experience.

Super adorable, if someone invited me I would* go back for drinks only bc it's sooo cute, but we got 7 dishes to try and didn't like/ eat but one (which was only alright)

Le Fou Frog: A Great ExperienceLet me tell you, Le Fou Frog was a total delight! This little gem in the River Market might not look like much from the outside, but step inside and prepare to be wowed. The staff was fantastic friendly, helpful, and always there when you needed them, but never hovering. They made us feel right at home, even on a busy Friday night.Now, the real star of the show? The food! Everything we tried was absolutely incredible. You can tell they use fresh, high quality ingredients, and the chef knows exactly what they're doing. Some of the flavors were insane! The seafood gnocchi is wonderful.Here's the thing to keep in mind: Le Fou Frog is definitely on the cozy side. It's a small restaurant, and the tables are pretty close together. This means it can get a little loud, especially when the place is packed. Honestly, it’s a fun vibe. It felt lively and energetic, but if you're looking for a super romantic, hushed dinner spot, this might not be it. Though, hey, maybe snag a table for two in a quieter corner if they have one available!All in all, Le Fou Frog gets a thumbs up from me! The food was phenomenal, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere, while a little snug, was charming. If you're in Kansas City and craving delicious French food, this is the spot. Just be prepared for some serious flavor explosions and maybe a little friendly chatter from your fellow diners.

We had not been to Le Fou Frog in a while and after our recent dinner there we plan to visit a lot more often. Everything was a wonderful experience. Very authentic French food choices, great wine and excellent service. Very cozy with a nice little patio for when the weather is nice. Best French food restaurant in the city, hands down (and yes we've tried them all).
