Mario's Osteria - Boca Pointe

I've eaten here with friends for lunch have always been very pleased with everything! I took a dinner date here it was great! We will definitely be back recommend to others!

We had a very unpleasant experience with one of the Managers when we sent back one of the four entrees that we ordered. The food was overcooked so we sent it back with the server who understood the situation. Within 3 minutes, the Manager came back to our table WITH the original plate of ravioli and, essentially, shamed us for sending it back, He explained the cooking process and said that this is how it ought to be, in spite of the hard cooked and inedible ravioli. He refused to listen and we declined his, insincere, offer of another menu item. He was completely inappropriate in his actions and choice of words. He had NO compassion whatsoever. When I spoke to another Manager on our way out, he implied that he understood our dissatisfaction and that he would address it with his colleague. I would be very hard pressed to recommend this restaurant in the future nor to return to it ever again. There are dozens of similar establishments in the Boca/Delray vicinity.

The way the 3 hostesses treated us should have been a sign to stay away but we didn't and the food was disgusting. The lasagna had about 2 pounds of cheese on it and the pasta had a burnt green peppers taste that was horrible even though peppers weren't in the description. We will not be returning!

Keep in mind this is Boca Raton Fla and it's the same everywhere around here. if you're not used to it you might be complaining. We were sat 10-15 past reservation time. Hostess bartender and wait staff all on point. Price point and wait consistent for Boca. Will def be back.

Mario's is a favorite. Excels in every regard. Other restaurants could learn from them. Mario's never disappoints; in fact, they often exceed my expectations. Thank you! Myles Martel Gulf Stream
