Balux Boca - Boca Raton

That was my second visit, but the first time I had to try the food. During my first visit the music began around 8 and the place was very busy. Many dance further, but tables were limited and we couldn't eat. I definitely recommend reservations. We had reservations this time, but I didn't know that music starts at different times depending on the weekend. This time the music only started at 10, so we practically had the place for ourselves. This gave our server Jacob a lot of time to focus on us and he was excellent! The food was delicious, there was nothing we didn't like. The prices weren't cheap, but they weren't wrong either. I hope this place succeeds, it would be nice to have a place like this for girls night and date night too! PS. The place is in a bank building, it is a little hard to find the first time, but it is worth looking for.

If you like to eat dinner in a nightclub that is not yet a nightclub (in a dinner lesson), then this is the place for you. The whole place is weird. It's in a bank building that has an orthodontist shield outside. Once inside it seems to be a company building, once in the restaurant it appears that you are in a nightclub. It's an unpleasant place to eat. The food was fine, but overpriced for what it is. Overall, I would say Boca Raton has too many good restaurants for this place to make it.

This was our first time visiting Balux Boca. It is definitely more of a club type atmosphere rather than fine dining based on the decor and the volume/type of music playing. It was pretty loud, even for a younger person such as myself. Our reservation was at 6:30 on Saturday night, and we were the only people there when we walked in other than staff. A few other couples arrived after we did. The place just recently opened, so I guess people don’t really know about it yet. We were very happy with the food. The taste was great on all items we ordered. My husband really enjoyed the grouper. I ordered a filet but was instead served a NY strip steak in its place for some reason. It was plated with the correct veggies and maitre’d butter on top, just the wrong cut. I’m not one to complain so I just left it alone, but I didn’t appreciate paying $40 for a $34 steak. Either way, the steak was still good. The service was just ok. Our server had his mask only covering his mouth and not his nose the entire time we interacted with him. He was friendly and did offer us some info on menu items. We never heard about any specials if there were any. We may go back again after they have been open a little longer to see if they have made any modifications. I’m hopeful they will because we did really enjoy the food, and the location is very convenient for us!

The food was very good. We felt very lonely. No one else was at the restaurant. Quiet depressing actually. Service was mediocre. The waitress who served us needs more training. The chocolate mousse we ordered was just whipped cream. They forgot to put chocolate...probably won't go there again...
