Mutter Wittig - Bochum

Mother Wittig has only two mistakes: 1. In the 18 years I lived in Bochum, I was too rare. 2. It is too far from my present involuntary residence in northern Frisia. I have an honest effort to balance these mistakes and return as often as possible when I visit Bochum to enjoy the extremely friendly atmosphere, the great food and the cordiality of the staff. Conclusion: You only learn to appreciate things correctly if they are no longer in tangible proximity. I look forward to my next visit to Bochum and to Mother Wittig .

A very beautiful uoy guest who puts you in another time with a pitiful flair. The food was very good from appetizer to dessert.

A 100-year-old traditional restaurant in Bochum. The bourgeois cuisine is preserved in a historical ambience. I spontaneously remember Max Reuter's song. I liked it very well that you have this ambience. The food is delicious, good and usual. The service is very accommodating and attentive. We were very well served. The guide style of a restaurant is reliably recognized by the toilets: These are clean and well maintained. I think Mother Wittig can be satisfied with what the next generations have made of their place. But even the guest can be satisfied, we will certainly come back.

I was part of the menu Carousel with Mother Wittig. Urig, rustic furnishings. The pictures on the dark wooden walls tell the story of the house and the region. The staff is a bit too distant and stiff, but always friendly and attentive. In the end we had to wait too long for the bill. The 4-course menu was great.

It was a very nice experience, even in these Corona times. The service was very good and the food was excellent. Overall only recommended.
