Contribuisci feedbackA Greek restaurant, without the usual scams and arches, with delicious dishes for the simple Greek farmhouse. Very friendly staff. Two times a year, a former round of a former working group for a common meal and clones meets, and another restaurant is always selected. This time the Bochum colleague was entrusted with the invitation. Location: Located in Bochum, on the very busy main street Wittener Straße 265, a small beer garden in front of the house, parking on the street and on the adjacent parking lot of the Sparkassenfiliale. Ambience: After entering through the entrance, the space is divided into two areas, right tables and counters, left an open space and another open space behind it. Dark leather-covered chairs with high backrest, many two-piece tables that can easily be mounted to a large seat round, these bright brown tables, covered with beige sets, white paper napkins with fork and knives, a slender silver-colored candlestick with white candle, a slender cylindrical glass vase with a rose in it. The floor of beige and patterned tiles, probably a rest from the 70s or 80s, on the large windows red curtains, the passage doors have dark wooden frames. Overall a beautiful and welcoming impression. Service: Very friendly and warmly welcomed by the suspected owner. She taught us the reserved tables, accompanied us all night and was supported by two young people, a woman, a male, probably family member. The selected dishes: As usual in all Greek restaurants, an extensive menu with the usual Greek dishes, even the obligatory Acropolis dish was not missing. I had no high expectation of Greek cuisine. In advance there was an ouzo per person, then some bread and an aioli dip, unfortunately for the large number of people too small in the crowd. I ordered a Zaziki in advance, €2,90, then I chose the Paros cellar, € 12,90. The Zaziki was neat, fresh, good in consistency and stimulated appetite. My main food of Paros Keller consisted of: Gyros, Souvlaki, Souzouaki, French Pommes and Salad. Everyone was questioned by the owner, with which Vinnigrette he wants to have the salad, I decided for the classic variant with oil and vinegar. Salad like evoked, classic and rustic, 1 cucumber slice, 1 tomato slice, herbal salad, onion, a dried tomatoes, roasted bread cubes, green salad and green lollo. Sad salad in the Vinigrette. The grill plate, as usual, overloaded, served on a square white porcelain plate that fries very fresh frit, bright, outside crispy, inside still soft, very good. The Gyros beautifully scrubbed, quite delicate, very well seasoned, a souvlakis shooting, the meat was unfortunately a little dry, as well as a strong wort and the Souzouaki, a real Friikadelle, very strongly spiced, the minced meat inside still slightly pink. The grill plate was shown with red raw onion pieces. I liked it, according to my expectations. This Greek cuisine, which is actually a rustic farmhouse, cannot be expected to be a big one. The food was taken with an ouzo, both went to the house. Dessert: A dessert I no longer ordered, the amount of enjoyed food was plentiful enough, woodjacks would certainly have their joy in these quantities. Beverages: I ordered mineral water from the brand Appolinaris Medium, 0.3 l, 2,20 € Cleanliness: Complete in any way, including toilets, no complaints. Conclusion: Whoever likes the rustic Greek cuisine with the overboards is well removed here. The quality of the dishes was good. The service was friendly and the restaurant was well removed from the usual Greek " vaulted bunkers" through its ambience. My review: 3 – when it comes back (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – when it comes back, 4 – again, 5 – definitely again – after “Kuechenreise”
Eat here again. When choosing Mecedes, I can hardly decide. All very tasty Also the “normal” dishes are on the map and are very lovingly prepared and not these usual, completely overloaded portions you otherwise get. Nice class instead of mass. Staff is always friendly and helpful We always like to come to this place
