We were a group of three for Sunday lunch at Bocagnano (or in Corsican, Bueugnà . A Tanedda was full; it’s clearly the place for local people’s lunch out, because the cuisine is a fine example of Corsican family fare. After a huge tureen of Corsican soup we each chose a different dish. Mine was veal meat balls in a tomato-based sauce. My partner had tripe. I forget what our friend had but every dish was tempting and proved delicious, tasty and enhanced by fresh herbs. The wine list is all-Corsican and our bottle of Calvi red from Domaine ‘Alzipratu was a perfect match. Service was welcoming and well-paced, with the manageress more than happy to supply any information we needed. A really pleasant experience during a busy stay on this beautiful island.
We visited the Auberge a Tanedda for lunch having been recommended by our hosts at the Gite we were staying in Peri. We were not disappointed, excellent local cuisine, reasonably priced. Although our french language is limited our host was very friendly and helpful in selecting our meals. The view from the restaurant is wonderful and you will be missing out on good food and service if you drive past without stopping for a visit
We ate at Auberge A Tanedda on our last night staying in the area and it was excellent. Sat outside to enjoy the fab mountain view (until the sun went down and a very tasty local menu. I had the Corse soup (which came in a huge tureen there was loads of it! , followed by the brocciu canneloni and iles flotante, all washed down with some local wine. Lovely waitress too. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend a meal here.
Found by hazard! This restaurant is a total delight. Home made dishes. Excellent service. Amazingly authentic view with a snowtop slopes! Strongly recommend!
This was a delightful restaurant. We are outside and did well to get a table at late notice! The food is locally sourced indeed much of it is from the farm itself and includes much classical Corsican cooking. It was delicious and superbly cooked. Two very reasonably priced set menus are excellent choices, or you can choose from great value a la carte dishes. The charcuterie plate is highly recommended! The wine is priced very reasonably, including very good local wine. Nothing has travelled far to be served at this restaurant, be that good or wine, without any compromise on quality quite the opposite!
