The owner is very friendly and it's a great place to have a nice chat and enjoy the community vibe of the Macarena district. He even created a spontaneous veggie burger for me! When I visited, he had set up a small art exhibition in the house featuring paintings by a friend. The empanadas are made with crispy maisteigart dough, which is hard to find with veggie fillings (except maybe at Universidad Nacional). The fillings change each night - I tried one with five different vegetables and another with tomato and basil. Delicious! Keep in mind that this place doesn't have set opening hours, so you can just stroll along the road in the evening and see if it's open. The shop is easy to spot thanks to a colorful light chain that helps guide you to it.
