La Orilla - Bogotá

I didn't like this place. We ordered ceviche de camarón and it was actually what looked like cocktail de camarón and actually on the poor side. The server was also not too accommodating and tried to give us no separate invoices. This is very interesting because the service...in Bogotá is generally excellent. I wouldn't go back to this place.

We met in La Orilla because one of our friends, working on U. de Los Andes, one of the best universities in Bogota. So we were there in La Macarena neighborhood that really enjoy visiting when in the city. The restaurant is small for Bogotas...standards, but that makes it just a bit more cozy. We ordered seafood as suggested by the owner; we had a mixed plate of Cazuela de Mar fish soup, and Arroz mixto, rice. It is just the perfect combination, size, taste and price. The service was as fast as everyone had to come back to work.

We stopped by chance at this place as a nearby Ceviche Square was closed. the food is decent. The shrimp ceviche was more like a shrimp cocktail, but the cazuela de mariscos was excellent. A touch-pricier than some of the other restaurants on the street.
