Sockeye Brewing - Boise

The restaurant offers a wonderful selection of food, has outstanding service staff, and creates a positive atmosphere. We truly enjoy dining there!

I used to be a big fan of Sockeye, but that's no longer the case. My last three out of four visits have been quite disappointing, with just one decent lunch experience. We were seated quickly around 6:30 PM, but it took over ten minutes for anyone to acknowledge us at our table—no eye contact, no smile, nothing. Our first round took 15 minutes to arrive, and when it did, our server brought me the wrong burger. I pointed this out, and the nachos we ordered were a soggy disaster, overloaded with toppings. I mentioned that too, but there was no manager in sight. After waiting another 15 minutes for the second round, I did enjoy the Rage Red beer. Unfortunately, after that, we were ignored for 30 minutes while waiting for the check. I've been a customer for over ten years, but I'm sorry to say, Sockeye, that this was our last visit.

We've dined at this restaurant several times, and it's generally good. However, there's always something that prevents me from awarding it a full five stars. During our most recent visit, the onion rings were disappointingly soggy and chewy. Additionally, our waiter seemed a bit inattentive, making it difficult for us to share our feedback. On a positive note, the beer selection is excellent!

The longer this brewery is in business the worse the service gets. We've been Sockeye goers for 18 years so the disappointment is real. We were there in the bar area (directly behind the bar) for 15 minutes and neither bar tender came to our table. Both tenders continued to serve the people at the bar who already had beer and food. I literally stood up to ask for help at the bar and there was absolutely crickets. This has now happened multiple times at Sockeye. Needless to say, we left and are heading to Edge Brewing!

Great place to go for dinner. A little on tbe pricier side but worth it. I recommend the Hellfire Finger Steak, delicious. Staff is alwaya friendly and they seem to really go out of their way for their customers.
