Their house dressing is a fantastic balsamic vinergarette. Their wonderful homemade bread with olive oil /or butter is the best. I would highly recommend Georgio 's!
I was in town for work and a local recommended this place for dinner. Very nice local restaurant. It has good seating for a small party or groups. The bar is separated from the dining area by a glass wall that really opens the space up. When I arrived I was seated immediately and given a drink in quick succession. The bud light I started with was sadly a bit flat but otherwise fine. I started with the caramelized onion soup and a side salad with their house dressing, a balsamic vinaigrette. If you're not a big fan of your salad dripping with dressing I might recommend ordering it on the side. They also served a small loaf of very delicious crusty sourdough with what I think was a garlic butter with red pepper mixed in. Very tasty. For my main course I ordered a Fillet Mignon medium that came out more medium rare but was still pretty great. It was paired with baked potato. I had a glass of their Malbec with the meal that was very subtle. My server was lovely and very attentive. She did not rush me and was happy to hold my salad off till I was finished with my soup. This place has a nice local vibe to it and I saw at least two tables here that seemed to be regulars. This place would be lovely for a lunch or dinner date or a nice weekend family dinner. I did not get a chance to try dessert, I was so full.
Georgio's is a staple in the Zoar area and is known for its colorful bartender and cozy atmosphere. We ate there last evening and learned there is a new chef at this establishment. He hails from New Orleans and has brought the New Orleans style to the restaurant. The Bourbon Street pasta was excellent. We also appreciated that he prepared a special version of that for the vegetarian our group. Definitely worth checking if you haven't been there in a while.
We used to love to come here. The food was amazing, the service was impeccable and the price was really good too. New owners took over, immediately the prices went up by at least 20%, the menu was shortened and the staff was not on the ball like before. Even details like switching from the clothe napkins to the throw away ones. It's just not the same place at all. Even the cleanliness of the restaurant has gotten much worse. I could have been ok with the prices going up but the other items, not so much. We used to bring all our visiting guests here and go at least once a week. Have been in maybe 4 times in the last 2 years. Very disappointing. Want my old Georgios gem back.
We now are offering a new fresh Italian menu! Come try the pasta bar. We now have CAB burgers, ribeye's and filets. Daily homemade soups and sauces.
