Food is good plus there was a live counter too which we didn't try. The best place to spend the evening in Santiniketan. The shopping choices are great, particularly the handloom products as well as for local souvenirs. Very reasonable prices in both the exhibition as well as the main shop. Promote cashless transactions with discounts on card payments. One stop place to pick up gifts.

We went during Doljatra'15.We went there for lunch. Being a bengali myself,I am not someone who prefers going for bengali food at restaurants because that is what we eat at home.The restaurant was full and we had to wait but the bengali meal served was one of the most sumptuous meal that I have had till date.Lovely food ..Will visiit again...

One of the best restaurants in the town which offers delicacies at a very reasonable rate. moreover the looks and the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful. The tea served here is a special one

Ghare Baire is a popular restaurant in Bolpur Shantiniketan known for serving traditional Bengali cuisine. The restaurant has lovely decor and is suitable for both small group dining and parties. During our visit, we ordered a vegetarian thali along with fried pomfret and rehu. The thali included rice, lentils, potato with poppy seeds, pointed gourd with potato, fried eggplant, salad, chutney, and sweet date rosogullas for dessert. The rosogullas were delicious. While the food quality was average, the prices were on the higher side. However, customers pay for the ambiance and convenient location.

This restaurant is a wonderful spot to enjoy traditional Bengali cuisine. We chose their regular thali, which was absolutely delicious.
