It may not be the best place for a full meal as it can get noisy at the bar. If the weather is nice, consider sitting on the terrace. We tried the lobster roll which was good, but not as great as what you could get at Ninety Nine for a higher price. Keep in mind that you are dining at the Sagamore and not a chain restaurant. If you have tried Friendly's lobster fest, it's best to try something different here. The service was good and there was pleasant piano entertainment with a lovely view. There is also a coupon for $18.00 off in the Entertainment Book.
This restaurant is located in the Sagamore and shares the same kitchen and menu as Bella Vita. The food was decent and the drinks were made well. The main draw is the ambiance and convenience for Sagamore guests. If I wasn't staying at the hotel, I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here. It's a good option if you arrive late and don't want to venture off property, but be aware that the kitchen closes early. The service was very pleasant. Don't forget to tip generously and put it on the Underhills' tab.
During our stay at The Sagamore, we dined at Caldwell's La Bella Vita and enjoyed a fantastic meal. The drinks were also excellent. I ordered a filet with lobster tail, while my wife opted for the filet. The appetizers were also very delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting, even if it comes at a slightly higher price point.
Place and service: Decor was nice and there was no wait to be seated. Wish the server had a little bit of a better attitude in her responses to questions. We asked for bread and she made it sound like it wasn't possible to get. She also spilled water on our tableand didn't clean it up. When asked if they had cinnamon for the hot chocolate she said no, then soon after we said no worries said she'd go check and they did have it. Onto the food: I ordered the Calamari and Zucchini and it was so good. The garlic and herb butter it came with was heaven. So creamy and the calamari were perfectly crispy. I had the lobster bisque as my entree and it was delicious. Super creamy and flavorful. For dessert I had the tiramisu cheesecake and it was good too. Their hot chocolate with cinnamon was delicious too.
We came as a group of 3 families for lunch. While service was slow (maybe attributed to a party of 13), the food was really good. I had the burger which was average but the calamari and salmon salad the others had came out very good. The kids said the pizza was really good.
