Contribuisci feedbackWe ordered familiar dishes at this restaurant, which we have tried in many places over the years. However, the meals were a bit uninspiring and lacked any wow factor; they were just average pub food. We noticed that the person in charge did not seem interested in feedback, brushing off any comments with unconvincing responses. Overall, the food was above average but not outstanding, and we wouldn't hurry back for another meal. On the positive side, the building was pleasant, the barmaid was friendly, the car park was adequate, and the drinks were good.
We stopped by the Jolly Crofters after a Sunday outing and received the most friendly service! The staff were very attentive to our dogs and made us feel right at home. The Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious - hot, quick, and great value for money. We will definitely revisit when we're in the area again!
I've been visiting the jolly crofters for a few years, especially for the Monday night quiz, which is much better than any other pub quiz I've ever made. the pub itself is full of history and character, there is a great selection of drinks. (particularly lagurs) and all at a reasonable price. my partner and I had a few meals in the pub and were always very impressed by the quality, price and taste in the kitchen. the natives are a friendly, welcoming bundle, but they are the owners for me that covers it and lets me go back. alison and barrie have made a brilliant job, personable, friendly and really decent people who do a lot for charity in the opposite too. recommend a stop when they are in the opposite or when they live locally but never have been in.
During the pandemic this was the only place that would host a wake for my father's funeral and we were so glad that they were, because we literally couldn't have asked for a better service or better food for our crew. Since then, my partner has been and I have been back several times and every time I enjoyed it. consistently good eating, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, especially the Fab owners barrie and alison. not to mention that it is a dog-friendly pub, what more can they demand!
I would like to say that I am a tribe of the jolly crofters, as I probably once in the month, I have noticed at my last visit that the manager, when the putztic looks around what looks when someone watched...him, then he puts the tips that were left directly into his pocket! Now this could be all legitimate, and I hope that he has put these tips with the hard working staff that he has been working back for! Hospitality staff should be rewarded for their hard work, and good in these days are hard to find! I hope the manager read this and take it on board!
