The food was fantastic, the staff were extremely friendly, and I highly recommend trying their Sunday roast.

I saw that this restaurant was advertised as 'dog friendly' on the Bolton evening news, so I recommended it to my partner's family for dinner. We had heard great things about it and I have fond memories of visiting this place as a child. However, we encountered an issue with the staff regarding our well-behaved family dog. We made sure to sit in a secluded area away from other diners and kept our dog on a lead that did not extend more than 2 meters. Despite our efforts to control our dog, the bar staff approached us twice, asking us to keep him on a shorter lead due to a potential trip hazard. We complied, but were taken aback when a staff member abruptly grabbed our dog's lead without permission. We politely asked them not to do that, but they continued to express their dissatisfaction with our dog's presence. We felt the staff's actions were unnecessary and disruptive, especially since our dog was well-behaved and not causing any trouble. Other customers even commented on the staff's behavior, agreeing that it was exaggerated. We were not happy with how the situation was handled and it has made us reconsider returning to this restaurant in the future.

The food is consistently excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely. Sunday lunch is a must-try, it's the best ever.

It might look a bity untidy on the outside but once you are through the doors your view will change. Its a fabulous pub with a great atmosphere inside. From the off, the staff were great. The food options are just right. The Korean chicken starters were really tasty whilst we highly recommend the pies for main courses.
