A helpful tip: always serve the kids first, as it can greatly impact their parents' experience. That said, the waitress was genuinely kind and apologetic, and we truly appreciated her efforts. This cafe has immense potential with the right service. It's absolutely charming, and we hope you take this feedback positively. We want to see you succeed and hope our comments are helpful.
Absolutely delightful! We rented bikes and a picnic for three to enjoy a lovely ride around Bonavista. Unfortunately, the weather turned too rainy for biking, but the owner was incredibly helpful and refunded our bike rental costs. Instead, they provided us with excellent recommendations for sheltered spots to visit during our day of driving. The food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. The interior of the restaurant was also charming (we had breakfast there before we left). I highly recommend it!
I had a wonderful experience exploring Bonavista, visiting Biennale exhibits, and savoring a delicious picnic. We wrapped up our day with some wine and a fantastic cup of coffee at the tables opposite the cafe, all while taking in the stunning view. This is an excellent way to enjoy the town.
What a delight! The Best Coffee in the area, combined with exquisite baked goods. Or maybe you want a panini for lunch. So many choices. All home cooked on site and delicious. Today I had a traditional breakfast. They have free WiFi. You can enjoy a brilliant Americano (as I did) and check all your social media while relaxing inside, or outside in their picnic area. They also have comfy lounge chairs outside so you can stare at the sea. OR, You could rent a bike and take one of their picnic baskets and enjoy the day anywhere in the Bonavista area. Bonavista Bicycle Picnics Cafe If you haven't been, you should go. I will definitely be back.
This is the small, local Cafe that everyone wishes they had in their local neighborhood. It is quaint, and run by the nicest folks anyone could ask to help them. When we came the owner, Miranda was working with her young daughter Elizabeth helping. It was an easy Sunday morning, rain rolling in and customers doing the same rolling in the front door. We enjoyed yogurt parfait with homemade granola, locally made (and grown! berry jam, and mint leaves picked right from the back garden. The breads and pastries are top notch. Coffee is great, again it's local from Trinity, and keeps everything symbiotic to Newfoundland. Although we didn't rent any, this is what seems like the only spot in town to rent a bicycle and helmet for the day. All in all, this place is top notch and shouldn't be missed.
