Neil's Yard - Bonavista

I have visited Neil's Yard on a number of occasions and I have never been disappointed! The espresso and the Chai tea are my favourite hot beverages and the gluten free classé crepe and salad are to die for! This time I tried the lentil curry soup and it was amazing! Neil is so friendly and the views of the ocean are spectacular!

When you'd like a change from the (delicious) Newfoundland cod, Neil's Yard offers a variety of interesting and original French crepes, both sweet and savoury.

It is located right beside Mockbeggar Plantation, close to Ye Matthew and other attractions, it is a small little cafe, the owner is very friendly and attentive. The place is busy! People are in and out all the time, but somehow it doesn't feel crowded. I had a latte, we had the strawberry and rhubarb crepe, and the traditional crepe (ham and cheese), and both were very good. The latte is strong, I was craving a good coffee and got my money's worth!I should also mention that there is free wifi! Given reception for data is spotty in that area, it was nice to connect to check where we were going next.

We certainly did not expect to find well prepared crepe breton in Bonavista. I enjoyed the miel et noix savoury crepe with a fresh salad. Yummy. My wife liked her sweet crepe. Neil provides friendly service and conversation. Closes at 5:30 pm, so do not be late.
