She has operated several delightful restaurants over the years, offering affordable food without sacrificing quality or flavor. The pork in brandy cream sauce with apples was absolutely delicious, leaving me wanting to lick the plate clean. The slow-cooked beef bourguignon was also tasty and served in a generous portion. The restaurant's clean white decor and French music in the background create a charming ambiance. We opted for the set menu, which offered a variety of appetizing choices, but the full menu is even better. I am eager to return and sample more of the menu items. Additionally, the wine prices are reasonable and the selection, though small, is quite nice.
Flavour and freshness of all our dishes , plus the ambience was excellent and what made the night even better experience was the terrific value for money.
Cafe Parisienne offers lunches on Thursday to Sundays, and dinner Mondays to Saturdays. I was drawn to it by an advert outside its door offering a two course meal for $20, which seemed unbelievable, and the attractive decor I viewed through the window. I decided to try it with my wife and daughter. The meal was excellent, and the portions, despite the minuscule price, more than reasonable. The entree onion soup was tasty, and, between the three of us, we tried all three main course options on offer. All of us thought that our meals were beautifully cooked, with tasty sauces in the best French tradition. We supplemented with one of the salads on offer, and all of us were satisfyingly full. One not obvious benefit is that parking is easy in Bronte Road - free after 7pm. I checked with Denise Winters, the owner, who also does the cooking herself as well as serving the meals. Apart from the special offer, there is a full menu which offers a greater choice and bigger portions at a slightly increased cost - my guess is that it is well worth trying. This restaurant is a suburban gem.
Good food at a reasonable price. Denise is very welcoming and friendly. Good variety of dishes, can't wait to go back.
I had the garlic bread and it was so soft and delicious...it was the best garlic bread I ever had. We had an entree, I think with the eggplant, it was very nice but very small serving. They didn't have the salmon so we both had the chicken breast in champagne sauce and it was so delicious and the chicken was tender and moist, I loved the sauce.I will definitely come back to the restaurant again and the owner was so friendly and professional. The ambiance was also good, pity it didn't have a lively atmosphere as the restaurant didn't have a lot of people. Hence, we got an exclusive serving by the owner:). I definitely recommend this restaurant to people as the food was delicious and the service was good. A bit pricey but the food was definitely worth the price:)
