Despite bringing this up to the floor manager, I did not feel reassured that any action would be taken. If you decide to dine there, proceed with caution.
The restaurant was extremely loud. There was a wide selection of food to choose from. Unfortunately, I may have made the wrong choices. I enjoyed the sesame toast and whiting. However, I was disappointed with the pork bites as they were too fatty and I was expecting them to have bones. It's possible that I misinterpreted the menu's image.
I made a reservation through their online system and received a confirmation. However, when my friend and I arrived, we were informed that there was no booking under our name. The cashier explained that the person in charge of the system was on leave. Despite this inconvenience, we didn't make a big fuss since it was a weekday. However, we were disappointed to receive no apology from the cashier. The food, on the other hand, was good and even better than the same restaurant in Haymarket.
Went for Yum Cha as we have every fortnight for years. Service and food has progressively getting worse. When we arrived I ordered a dish for take away whilst we ate lunch I asked 4 times for the takeaway I was told on 2 occasions...that it would be 2 minutes. The next time I asked I was told to be patient Finally after 55 minutes from when I placed the order I had had enough and went to pay the bill. I complained to one of the managers and was told we would get the Chinese tea for free. I said I didn't want anything for free just wanted the food I ordered. He just walked away didn't even go to the kitchen
Been to Zilver many times for yum cha but never for dinner. This evening we were pleasantly surprised how fresh and delicious their food is. The service was a bit hit miss but that would be my only complaint… the menu is massive, and...we had a hard time deciding but, settled on a wonton soup, fried rice steamed barramundi and this was perfect for two.
