Bonita Golf Course

I'm not a golfer, but the greens are stunning. We really enjoy the restaurant, especially the incredible Bloody Marys! Wow! They're absolutely delicious. The steak and eggs are also a favorite of ours!

I played the 9-hole course and would not recommend it. The layout is completely flat, repetitive, and lacks excitement. If the price for the 9 holes were $25, it might be worth it, but the green fees don’t justify the experience. On a positive note, the staff was friendly.

The course itself is quite good, but I found it a bit strange that they don't provide carts until right before your tee time, leaving you little time to load your belongings and get prepared. Additionally, it’s odd that they don't include a scorecard and pencil on the cart like most other courses do. It feels a bit inconsiderate.

Ordered fish and chips. One of them weren't thoroughly cooked. They said it was... when I bit it I thought it was chicken????. Other than that their sweet chili chicken wings are absolutely awesome ????

Bonita Golf Course is in excellent condition for August, with about 80% of the holes in great shape. The remaining holes were still decent, though some showed signs of fairway damage. We had a wonderful time playing there. While most of the holes are relatively flat, there are still plenty of challenges to keep things interesting. If we hadn't been accompanied by regulars, we likely would have gotten lost navigating from hole to hole, as the layout and signage could use some improvement. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable experience. The greens rolled quickly and true and were well-maintained. Additionally, there's a hiking and walking trail around the course where we saw people riding horses, which added a nice touch. Overall, it's a fantastic value in the San Diego area.
