Contribuisci feedbackThe staff is nice and more attentive after the owner changed. The concept remains the same. You still order various smaller dishes like tapas style. The problem is that the various dishes are not always the same quality.
We were in Bonn for a night and ended up in Joligs by accident. After an hour we were guided to the vitrine, where we got an extensive explanation of all the different dishes by the owner of the place. You can tell he was really passioned by his food and cooking. Another hour later we got the starters we chose, yet another half our later we got our main dish. Truth be told, the food was really great! Nevertheless, we waited 2.5 hours for something that was finished in a little over 5 minutes. I could have copied the universal declaration of human rights by hand, run half a marathon or watch a third of Lord of the Rings in that time. We were tired and somewhat drunk (from the great wine) when we found out the place does not accept credit cards, so we had to end our already long evening with a walk to the ATM and back. I recommend this place if you're a foodie and looking for an experience. Make a reservation and bring cash. I don't think the place should accept guests, like us, without an invitation, especially when the place is packed. Bon appetit.
I am almost reluctant to write this review, as it feels like letting more people in on a what seems to a Bonner secret. The place has a cosy interior, with furniture made of dark wood and much the same kind of wood lining the walls. Staff are friendly and speak both German and English. There is no fixed menu, just a variety of appetizers, mains, side dishes and desserts displayed in a glass case. When the whole group is ready to order, a member of staff explains the system of ordering and the dishes to everyone. The taste and presentation of everything we ordered was very good, from the aubergine spread that I had as a starter to the mango sorbet that I ended my meal with. Dinner with wine for four (including a male with a hearty appetite) came to about EUR 130 with tip. I am looking forward to my next meal there!
Great concept and nice team! High quality food at reasonable, but quite high prices. Recommended without restriction. Also in the lockdown with delicious dishes to get yourself.
Very nice restaurant. Not cheap, but you get super quality. Great system with the showcase.
