We decided to have lunch at Cafe Miebach during a day trip to Bonn. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, inviting and we were warmly welcomed inside. The daily special was crepes with a spargel and cheese filling, accompanied by a large mixed salad. Absolutely delicious! Our server, a Polish gentleman, was friendly and attentive. What a great experience.
While we were roaming the city center, we came across this inviting place. We like what we saw, we ate and drank. Pretty good service, and when you have good company, all the more better.
After finding the restaurant we were going to go to had closed, we ended up in the Market place and decided to try Miebachs, mainly due to the fact their menu was in german, english and French. We sat outside in the square the ordered a bruschetta and a sausage in curry sauce ( very little curry flavour in the sauce)but still very nice. Had no problems with the service we got.We enjoyed so much we turned again the next evening.
Stopped on the outside tables for a few hours and had some truly delicious food. I had the potato cakes with smoked salmon and sour cream which made me extraordinarily happy. A friend had the gnocchi which was also very yummy. We'd both order these again. They also do a type of pizza-flatbread. These were bigger than anticipated and very nommy. The service was slow and the waiters give the impression they're doing you a favour unwillingly. I'd read a few other reviews who said the same. They're not wrong. The toilet is inside and the interior is very traditional Art Deco, which I really like, so recommend paying a visit.
