In times of COVID even the walls know that you shouldn’t handle money and then serve ice cream without disinfecting your hands. Terrible hygiene practice and also, how can you scoop ice cream on a 4 euros cone with a soup spoon? Incredible.
Les Glaces du Tinel is a must visit when in Bonnieux — delicious ice cream with the friendliest of service at this family run glacé and crepe restaurant. We stayed in Bonnieux for a week and stopped here quite a few times. The sea salt caramel is the best I have ever had. The vine covered canopy provides a cool escape on a hot day as well.
I went to buy a one kilogram box of ice cream for 16 euros and I was told by the owner that I could only have 2 flavours as she had no time to put 3 or four. Seeing her grating the ice cream with kitchen spoon is a pitiful scene, but the fact that she handles the cones without a napkin and then she handles money without cleaning her hands is simply unbelievable. Someone from the health and safety agency (if there is one in France) should check this place.
Superb ice cream and service. Good variety of flavours, between us we tried most of them! After a hot day touring, we enjoyed eating the ice cream whist overlooking the vilage from the square.
