Shannon's Unshelled - Boothbay

I finally had Shannon’s gluten-free fried haddock. I was a skeptic because I love fried haddock, and I was afraid the gluten-free flour coating wouldn’t be as crispy as what I’m used to. Man, was I wrong! It was crispy, light-fried to golden perfection, and it remained crispy and absolutely delectable to the last bite. Can’t wait to go back!

It seems and feels like coastal Maine!Shannon's Unshelled delivers on the taste and options that you would expect from a quintessential coastal Maine lobster shack. We were happily greeted by a friendly staff and enjoyed the sunlight while we waited for our freshly prepared food. The food followed up every bit of promising start that we were hoping for and we left quite satisfied.

We ate outside at the fire pit and then went to the Gardens Aglow event. This place has great food but is a bit expensive. The blueberry coleslaw should be featured more prevalently as it was simply a delight. The lobster roll (I had the flight) was bland but the rest of the food made up for it.
