Karmeliter Hof - Boppard

We are staying in Boppard for a week so opportunity to try some local restaurants. Read about this one so decided to try. Rather chilly to sit outside (although some hardy souls did) but nice ambiance inside although service functional but no mor. Limited menus...mainly schnitzels in various forms and my husband had it with white asparagus which is in season (some restaurants offer a spargel menu) Portions were large but somehow we finished. I read a number of reviews about baked products but we were not offered a dessert menu. Pleasant but there are better in town.

My husband and I weren't super hungry when we came across this restaurant, but we decided to share a meal and have a beer and wine. We shared the kohlrabi and potato dish and oh my! I've never had cooked cooked kohlrabi, but it was...fantastic. I was told from another couple (locals I believe) that the food was all sourced locally. The portions from other guests looked huge, so we too the cue and shared a meal. It was more than enough. There is seating indoors and outdoors. The outdoor view is on the Rhine and lovely.

Meine Partnerin hat eine Quiche bestellt aber leider eine gefüllte Paprika bekommen (in der leider auch noch Haare waren) und ich Spaghetti wie bestellt - nur leider etwas kalt. Das Restaurant war bemüht und hat die Fehler schnell korrigiert und dann auch kulant abgerechnet. Das Essen war aber dafür dann sehr lecker und der Service freundlich. Ich glaube, das Restaurant kann es besser.

Wir wurden hier freundlich Bedient der Service das Essen war top. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Speisen waren mit Liebe zubereitet und mehr als ausreichend groß
