Smoke Resto - Boracay

They have an option only with tofu on the menu and, they do not even disturb to check whether there is any animal product in the plate. they say everything they know is vegetarian. not very welcome.

Ordered a tofu rice bowl and mango salad without garnel paste. tofu rice dish was edible, but nothing special. mango salat was interesting. when he realized that I had asked without garnel paste, he rinsed the salat plate under that before he served me. salat consisted only of chopped wobble, dice tomato and cut mango. it was disappointing!

When I went to boracay 5 years ago, this was the place where I ate on a (near) daily basic service, was nice and eating was good. that's why it wasn't a surprise that I wanted to visit smoke immediately this time. Unfortunately, the service was quite unhelpful, actually quite rude. there was no possibility to add to my vegetarian noodles. taste was okay, nothing too special. prices are good for boracay. Maybe it was just bad timing, but we didn't have the feeling to go back. we had better eating and good service (that it is possible to veganize eating for us) in two other local restaurant at an even cheaper price! fyi: there are 2 smoker restaurants in d*mall! the second has more seats!

I ordered one of the tofu dishes which was absolutely delicious just would have liked a little more! My friend ordered the eggplant salad which was a disaster, was basically a load of raw onion with a few tomatoes and an unripe eggplant bunged on the top. Managed to swap the dish for the garlic tofu which she said was super tasty. I have also had the pinakbet which was a really good variety of veg and a decent portion. Just make sure you specify no shrimp paste or oyster sauce when ordering. Dishes range from around 180-220 pesos.

What a great place. We visited every restaurant on happy cow in Boracay and this was by far our favourite. Smoke is a small local restaurant in the food market section of d'mall. They serve fresh, local and tasty food, with lots of vegetarian dishes, and It's a lot cheaper than all the other places. Seriously, go here.
