Always beautiful place. We understand you want to modernize? but the absence of dapps is not connected with the decor. Cut not put on the tables only plate for bread, glasses and towel. Too bad a nice table already eats. 1/2 hour hold before ordering. We took the menu Sarah Bernard but disappointed that the dishes displayed on the website of the Chapon Fin are not the dishes on the map. Wine map too long but no bottle below 40 €. Moreover the chosen bottle was no longer available and bottle replaced 5 euros more without commercial gesture. Entrance good smoked eel Beef: excellent meat but small piece and panais accompaniment in very small quantity! Also 2 pasty gnocchis lost in the plate. Dessert: we had been dried by dessert on the website. The black olive chocolate agreement did not inspire us especially with lemon sorbet. Unfortunately no alternative choices, like entry. And it was not good and badly presented. A foam informs on a not terrible cake, pieces of olives and above a quenelle of lemon sorbet. We didn't like it. We said it and we were told that the message had been passed to the chief and that he was going to rework his dessert, not successful. And we paid €69 for the menu!!!! No action to compensate for the coffee dessert offered for example. In short the place is always a plus but the menu taken is too expensive for dessert quality and quantities served flat. Low-cost wine, and yet we didn't take the wine coupon 40€ per person for 3 glasses of 10 cl. There are better restaurants in Bordeaux for a more reasonable price and discoveries of wines at reasonable prices.
Deception from beginning to end. Almost three hours for a 4-course menu and an aperitif and we were three. When we get there, no locker room, we put as we can bag and jackets. 3/4 hours to get the aperitif then on average 30 minutes between each dish. I said to the waitress in the middle of the meal that it was a little long waiting but no excuse and even less acceleration. As a result, barely lukewarm vegetables and melted dessert ice count the overcooked fish. The explanations for each dish were incomplete and made to go quickly. With the foie gras, we found ourselves without bread. It was also necessary to have water regularly. It's not all about offering quality products, if they're badly served, we can't appreciate them. In any case, the dishes were absolutely not up to the menu price. Anyway, I didn't want to take into account negative opinions and I was wrong. It's the first time I'm also disappointed in a restaurant that practices this level of price. I've done more than 30 and I'll class you easily in the last position. A few days before, I went to a competitor not far from the boulevards for the same price, no comparison possible. In conclusion, if you want to be well served in all senses of the term, avoid the fine chapon, there are many other addresses in Bordeaux where you will be satisfied. Last thing, on a menu at 89 euros, I asked to change the entry. I was told that it would be another 5 euros. A practice that I had never met before but that demonstrates your concern to please the client.
Restaurant where the kitchen treats your taste buds. The Plats are fine and excellent. Harmony of flavours and association of surprising products: a treat.
Unchangeable This dinner was a great time for our efficient and casual service taste buds! Bravo to the whole team.
