Maruya Dining Japanese - Bordeaux

Had delivered to our hotel tonight. ordered after 9 o'clock. fast delivery, excellent eating. very tasty. will again order .better as many Asian restaurants in bordeaux.

Really really good Japanese sushi restaurant in the heart of Bordeaux. Delicious plat du jour with a cold and a hot plate along with rice, miso soup and a small cabbage salad. My husband had the chirashi sushi which included shiso leaves. Yum. They were very welcoming, tolerant and accommodating to our two young children. No high chair offered, but they put us in a nice spot with plenty of room for our poussette. Also no menu enfant but we had our kids eat the karaage with rice and edamame. The only reason I would rate at 4 stars and not 5 is because one person in our group needs to eat sans gluten and they did not have wheat free soy sauce (Tamari) available. This is a no brainer and easy ingredient to buy and this can’t be the first time someone allergic to gluten has ever stepped through their doors. otherwise it was a wonderful experience. They were packed at lunch so definitely call ahead. We called the same day and were able to get a reservation.
