Strandcafe Sturmeck - Borkum

This is a good place to visit after a walk in the northwestern part of the island. You can sit outside and enjoy the view. Don't order coffee. There was no taste for it. We paid our 9.40 Euro for two coffee pots, but we barely drank it.

For 3 years, I am 4 to 6 times on the island and regularly in the cafe sturmeck. so far I have been eating and drinking at every beach walk there, with beautiful weather always on the terrace. eating is average, the service is rather inattentive, very slow but always friendly. in order you make anyway due to the good situation, a very leisurely step seems to be on the order of the day.At last visit on Thursday I ordered a sollenfilet with bratkartoffeln and a small beer (0.3 ltr). there served eating sponge in fat, the bratkartoffeln were by repeated warming up meanwhile dark brown to black and almost inedible. due to my experience I ordered a day later matjesfilets (here you can't do anything wrong) and as usual a small beer, again 0.3 ltr. this time, the service drew me attention to the fact that from now on only large beer will be presented on the terrace. to my mind that I have been ordering small beer for eating for 3 years and would certainly drink 2 or 3 she would be delighted that I could go to the interior, only there would still be small beer still present. then I left the restaurant and I will not visit it so quickly.

After a slightly larger walk (about 9 km) on the sandbank along the sea, we returned to a small fortification there. there we ordered ourselves home cooking this time. once a lentil soup and a potato soup.Best!Hat tasted very delicious.

True last year several times there and always top! now with the whole family again there and have been very disappointed! an hour waiting for eating! very unfriendly when we asked. when it came, with heart cooked, nothing is a pity about the money and the time!
