Despite not usually enjoying fish-flavored baked goods, this quiche had a nice taste without being overly fishy. The service was friendly, but we felt that the portions were a bit small for what we ordered. However, we are interested in returning to try the salads and poke bowls. Overall, we would rate this cafe 3.9 out of 5 stars.
The butter chicken rice bowl was amazing! The service was excellent and the price was very reasonable, under $15. The peanut butter hot chocolate was a unique treat.
A couple of years ago, when we were living in Camberwell, we had Butter Dish on our list of places to eat. After moving around quite a bit since then, we finally had the chance to visit. It was a hot and humid summer day when we arrived, and the smell of the nearby butchery filled the air. This small and adorable cafe, located next to the market, can seat about 14 people and offers an all-day breakfast menu. They serve unique drinks like peanut butter hot chocolate and Nutella cappuccinos. However, because of the sweltering heat, we opted for a refreshing housemade juice instead.
If you love butter, this should be the next place on your list! They're not lying when they say that with enough butter, everything is good its truly butterlicious.Butter chicken was very smooth, and of course, buttery. And coconut rice with turmeric chicken was also amazing. Must go!
If you love quiche then you owe it to yourself to have a bacon and leek quiche at Butter Dish! And don’t get me started on the egg and bacon sandwiches! Huge flavour! I’m yet to try the vibrant salads. Great staff, fantastic vibe, super tunes! You’ll catch me at Butter Dish regularly reading the paper and watching the World go by.
