Hungry after our visit to Camberwell market and the antique shops round the corner. We're lost when come to food, yes, according to Tripadvisor, there were popular restaurants nearby, but we walked pass and decided to give this small and cosy place a try. The lovely lady and the good looking chef were very friendly too. This place offered fusion Japanese and Korean dishes. I normally avoid fusion but I gave it a go here which turned out to be a good decision. We ordered grilled beef with rice (served on a rectangle place with fresh salad/veg, pickled ginger, radish), grilled tofu don (rice with tofu on bed of fresh veg), Gyoza (pan-fried dumpling), ginger pork belly (my favourite) and miso fried chicken (both on rectangular plate, similar to the beef). Our orders were served fast. They were good, very good, fresh quality ingredients, authentic Korean cooking, fusion with Japanese food presentation, we 'swiped' our plates and bowl clean. The dishes are of reasonable price. We left 'belly' happy and satisfied. As the place is small, expect some smells or request to sit near the entrance. We ordered what we liked, but do ask the friendly host to recommend a dish. If you need to use the restroom(outside the restaurant), the host will give you the key and direction.
This restaurant is a hidden gem for breakfast and brunch, located in a charming alleyway! Melbourne has transformed many of its laneways into small streets, making them perfect spots for discovering unique eateries like this one.
Cool atmosphere and tasty dishes, but the brisket was disappointing. The coffee is excellent and there are many delicious brunch options to choose from, but the Brooklyn vibe was lacking.
I enjoyed a cold brewed coffee for breakfast at this restaurant and everything about it was delicious.
