Stayed with friends this weekend and had a wonderful time. The site is well kept and very tidy. Caravan numbering system is confusing. A ten minute walk to a stunning beach (take care with your dogs and keep them on a lead through the sand dunes as reports of adders have been reported). You will need a car as the site is a few minutes drive to Borth and 15 minutes to Aberystwyth. Highly recommended if you appreciate a quiet and relaxing break away.
I would give five stars for the opposite experience. The location is beautiful and perfect for animal lovers and walkers. However, I was disappointed with the caravan, which felt a bit underwhelming. I expected better basic amenities. It wasn't fully equipped; there was nothing to cook on or with, and I had to wash everything before using it. There were no clothes hangers in the wardrobes, and they were quite damp. Additionally, the café was closed all week. A sign indicating its hours would have been helpful since it's usually open every day on the main road. I would definitely return to the location, but I'd recommend being cautious about renting a caravan. They do look great for sale though!
Although we didn't have the opportunity to fully explore the restaurant since we were just visiting friends, the website gave a good impression of being well-organized and clean. The staff appeared friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for the beach, although it may feel a bit distant from other areas. Overall, it seems like a great place to relax and rejuvenate.
The staff at the promenade restaurant were very friendly. The fish and chips we ordered were delicious—enjoyed every bite! They were served quickly and with a smile. The reception staff was also very welcoming, and I appreciated the cleanliness and COVID safety measures, including spotless restrooms. However, the overall situation felt a bit cramped, with limited space between the vans, which seemed expensive and poorly maintained. I’m not sure I would be willing to pay £29,000 for an old, single-glazed, non-central heating van.
