Sam's Southern Eatery - Bossier City

Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing due to the long wait time, even though there were no orders ahead of us. I wouldn't recommend this place. We chose it for its convenience, as it was on our route, but in the future, I think I'll wait until we reach the next town. If you're a fan of greasy and bland food, then this might be the spot for you.

Oh, how times have changed! It used to be that you received more than what you ordered. I hadn't been here in years, but I stopped by the PB mall and decided to try the three-piece lunch special for $8. The catfish portions were so small that they should have been thrown back; however, they were tasty. The sauce was decent as well, but the corn and green beans came straight from a can, just warmed up and served. Who does that? Everything was bland, bland, bland. I also tried the red beans and rice, and they were not much better. Unless you're a fan of tasteless food, I'd recommend skipping this place.

The food was hot and fresh, however there were knats flying around in the area where we ate. Otherwise it wasn't too bad.Food: 3/5

This restaurant isn’t one of those catfish spots; it’s a solid place for fish. The flavors are distinct and, honestly, I think most people wouldn’t even realize it’s not catfish. The waitstaff is incredibly friendly and genuinely seems to care about their work and the establishment, which is a rare quality these days. Just so you know, I take my reviews seriously—I seldom give one star, and five stars are even rarer for me. A rating of three means it's decent, four indicates it's exceptional, and a five would mean it's extraordinarily excellent, to the point that you really shouldn’t miss it.

Locally owned seafood /fast food restaurant but cooked fresh..from the shrimp to the Philly cheese...they are 10/10 EVERYTIME!Food: 5/5
