I was seated quickly and brought the infamous chips salsa right away. At first glance I thought the salsa was going to be average but that turned out to be wrong. It had quite a nice tangy flavor that kept me eating it for way too long. ???? My addiction to chips salsa is well documented. The chipswere a yellow corn variety and were of a medium thickness. This being my first time I struggled with what to order a bit but couldn 't get past trying the Birria Tacos I saw on Google Maps. The food came quickly and I was ready to dive in.A BIT OF A WARNING: These tacos were quite messy and required about 3 large napkins to eat! 3 tacos came on the plate accompanied by a salad, Birria dipping sauce, and a green hot sauce. I found myself opening the tacos and putting a squirtof green hot sauce, and then dipping them in the Birria sauce. While the tacos were quite tasty, I don 't think they were as good as the Chica Tacos at Ramirez. A few downsides: The tacos were incredibly greasy and contained a lot more fatthan I would prefer in a taco. (I don 't prefer fat in a taco. ???? They were slippery to the touch as well. But the flavor was amazing! So to answer the big question, Would I go back? I certainly would. I enjoyed the chips salsa andwould like to give some other menu items a shot.
My sister and I ate here today, recommend by her son. We each had the lunch taco and cheese enchilada. The red sauce on the enchilada was the best I've ever had and they were not stingy with it. The taco was good and the beans were excellent. The chips, salsa and white queso were great. Our waiter was so nice and very efficient. We will be back!!!
Horrific. I ordered queso flamingado which is supposed to have a sauce with it. And not cheese sauce either. What I received was a very dry bland chicken fajitas. I've eaten here before and was unsatisfied then. Nothing has changed. I will not return. They have a very bad habit of putting Velveeta cheese sauce over burritos and other things. I do not recommend this place to anyone.
The staff was not honest claiming this is an authentic Mexican food/restaurant. I ordered the combo fajitas, the fake chicken/steak/ shrimp came from frozen bags at Sam's club. Clearly not marinated in authentic spices/seasons, The next lie I was told is the corn tortillas were homemade and that they have authentic street tacos all untrue. Nothing about this restaurant is authentic, so sad. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for some real Mexican food.
Lived times are busy but worth waiting. Excellent food, overworked waitstaff, but we get it. Please be kind to your servers. Margarita is worth the money and the additional bonus of live music. He was great. Really enjoyed and would highly recommend.
