This time, I tried the shrimp caesar salad and roast beef sandwich. The salad was a good combination of crisp romaine lettuce, tender shrimp, and a flavorful dressing that hit all the right notes. The roast beef sandwich was a savory treat. I usually get the sticky bun for dessert, but this time I tried the Boston cream pie, and it was very moist and super good! I also got to see Joanne Chang (owner of the bakery) working in the kitchen and interacting with guests this time! Overall great experience
Had takeout on a Sunday morning. Nice place, of course a little crowded, efficient staff. I asked for an americano with a shot of expresso but the girl told me it already had 4 shots in it, so I skipped the extra shot. Wrong : the coffee wasn’t strong enough. Also had a little bit of bitterness. Still was ok but not a 5 stars. Took 4 pastries that were pretty good, but then again, I had better. Would still stop by, but wouldn’t make a detour for it.
Great for a quick bite to eat before hitting up the children's science museum. We were in and out in a timely fashion, plus the avocado toast was delicious.
Loved it!! Delicious pastries!! Found this place right next door to our hotel and we had to try the chocolate brioche and chive and Parmesan scone, both very delicious!!
