Even though he speaks Chinese fairly well, he maybe misspoke about asking for duck. The guys looked at him like he was an alien and then after my boyfriend pulled out his phone to look up the proper word for duck, one of the guys here yelled at him as if he was being super rude “no duck, sold out!”. Imagine being excited for something and then getting yelled at like you’re a problem. I work in IT support for all ranges of language barriers and capabilities. I just have no patience for people who act like this toward people, especially for doing nothing wrong. He didn’t deserve that. We will look elsewhere for duck.
Roasted duck with duck sauce was phenomenal the authenticity I’ve been looking for! They only accept cash and there is a slight language barrier, but very nice and friendly people. This is the 3rd duck place I’ve had in China town and is by far the most authentic and flavorful duck I’ve had. They don’t have rice plates, but the roasted meat here is very good!
First time purchasing char siu and soy sauce chicken from Great BBQ. Lots of construction in the middle of Hudson street but worth the trip. There is only take away. Very happy with the quality.
Don't be intimidated by the language barrier worth to come in person to choose your preferred cuts of meat. Very few places in the Greater Boston area that cooks fantastic siu yuk and char siu.
