I had made a reservation for dinner at 6:30pm on a Monday night and NOWHERE when making this reservation did it say ID was needed to enter. When we arrived the bouncer was asking for our IDs and one of the people in my group didn’t have their ID with them (why would someone bring an ID to dinner if they don’t even drink?? and one doesn’t even HAVE an ID, and the bouncer was very rude to us. I tried showing her my ID at least but when she took it she said I’m not 21 (my ID literally says my birthday on it and I am 23 years old. We tried explaining that our group was there to literally eat a meal at a table and that we had a reservation, but the bouncer was continually rude to us and would not let us sit for our reservation we made. What would have happened if my reservation for was for me and my family who has children under 16 that don’t even have ID…are you going to turn us away then too? There is not a SINGLE place on your website or when making my reservation that says ID is needed to enter. Between this absurd policy and very rude bouncer, I am infuriated. It is infuriating to me that on a Monday at 6:30pm only those with identification and apparently 21+ are allowed inside. Horrible experience overall and would NEVER recommend coming here to anybody.
The peach cobbler at this restaurant is not traditional cobbler, but rather warm peaches with cinnamon and oatmeal on top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I was disappointed as cobbler should have a crust made from batter, biscuit, flaky pie crust, or a bread or graham cracker layering. The main courses and appetizers are good, especially the hush puppies and hot chicken. The tater tots could be swapped for hash browns, but given the location near Fenway Park, it's understandable. Despite the dessert disappointment, the restaurant has the potential to be a popular tourist spot with its Southern style cuisine. The wheelchair accessibility is good with a street-level entrance, no steps, and plenty of room in the dining area and outdoor patio.
I recently visited Loretta's Last Call for the first time and I must say I was very impressed with the food, atmosphere, and service. I had made a reservation for 7:45 to celebrate my son's birthday, but we were running late due to difficulty finding parking. I called the restaurant and they made special arrangements to allow my son and his friends to be seated while we made our way there. This level of customer service truly impressed me and went above and beyond. Our waitress was also fantastic. We will definitely be returning to Loretta's Last Call in the future.
My husband and I went to Loretta's tonight without realizing there was a game going on nearby. We were initially put off by the lack of parking and heavy traffic in the Boston area next to Fenway Park. However, our night took a turn for the better once we arrived at Loretta's. The staff, including our waitress and managers Joanna and Michael, were fantastic. Despite being busy with game-goers, our waitress was attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant, with outdoor seating available. The managers also checked in on us, which showed that the restaurant values customer service. The drinks, including traditional and mango margaritas, were excellent. The food was equally impressive, with delicious BBQ wings, crispy tots, and flavorful Cobb salads with grilled chicken. The house dressing was particularly tasty. The quality of the chicken was top-notch, unlike some other establishments serving questionable meat. Though we were too full for dessert, we took home some doughnuts that were absolutely delicious. Thank you, Loretta's Last Call, for a great dining experience!
