The food is delicious and reasonably priced, making the 40-minute drive from the South Shore worthwhile for a visit once a week.
I visited this restaurant during my weekend in Boston and decided to give it a try. The place wasn't very busy, and our hostess, who also served as our waitress, was fantastic! It seems that the restaurant mainly focuses on takeout orders. As for the food, it was excellent and made fresh. The Mofongo was the best I've ever had!
This restaurant is a true hidden gem in Uphams Corner. Run by a mom and her son, Ramon is incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge of the cuisine. Even with a small staff, the menu is extensive and every dish is absolutely delicious. Relax with a beer, watch some TV, listen to soft music, and savor generous portions of yellow rice, red beans, plátanos, seasoned meats, salad, and more. I absolutely love this place!
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, tasty food. I suspect that they have no vegetarian options, or very few. I wouldn't cross the city for it, but might come back if I was in the area.
Absolutely delicious, excellent portions! The yellow rice with red beans and pork ribs are great : friendly staff.
