Shannon Tavern - Boston

I'm glad I ended up at this bar. I had the best time, and met some of the best people I've come across.

Local family run bar. Great pastrami sandwich for lunch. Would have been 5 stars if the fryer was working and there were other menu options when we visited. Pool table in the back room. Easy conversation with the bartender. This is an old fashioned neighborhood bar, bar that normally serves a few sandwiches and fries as part of the deal. Takes credit cards unlike some other bars of this style in Southie.

Great bar food, awesome drinks and Great company! Excellent local bar and friends!

I'm a traveller. I stopped here to get a real south Boston night out. Now I'm not going to say what exactly the bartender did for me but it was much needed. Little things make people's days.

I haven't been here in years,a lot of great memories,this is the kind of place you go in as a stranger and leave as a friend,and you're always welcome back
