Unique and delicious. I had the duck confit hash and a WINNING **** Mary. And no wait at brunch time on a beautiful Saturday. Come here while it?s still a secret!
We dined at this restaurant on our first night in Boston and had a wonderful experience. The ambiance was lovely, and the food and drinks were fantastic! We ordered the pomme frites (fries topped with parmesan and garlic aioli), lobster gnocchi, and the double stack burger. Everything was incredibly delicious, and the fries had the perfect texture. The owner, Andy, took the time to come over and chat with us, which was really nice. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and personable. I highly recommend this place to anyone in or visiting Boston!
I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and they had a good flavor. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly. Everything could have been served warmer, but I was dining with a group of five on a busy Saturday at 11:30, so I didn't expect perfection during peak brunch hours. The biscuits could have been a bit less dry, but overall it was solid, especially with the gravy and runny eggs. The breakfast sandwiches were a hit, and so was the French toast. The service was really great; everyone was super friendly and accommodating. One person ordered hot chocolate and enjoyed it as well. Just a note: there’s an automatic 20% tip added to all checks, plus a 3% kitchen fee.
Tips were added without our consent. The food was excellent, but the portion sizes were very small. We ordered the ribs, and we only received three meager pieces of meat with no sides. The same issue occurred with the cod. However, the double steak burger was fantastic. Unfortunately, there just wasn't enough food. We left the restaurant feeling hungry, even though we don’t typically eat large quantities.
