The personal was wonderful! the location was beautiful. the only glitter was the steak we ordered, was overcooked and chewing.
The food was ok, service wasn’t great either, disgusting bathroom. I had the lobster roll, which was good, but it was tiny for the price. I realize the price of lobster has increased, but it wasn’t even hot dog size. The service was the opposite of attentive. I think our waitress forgot us and it seemed to be a trend with other tables and wait staff. People would ask anyone walking by for refills, sauce etc. They’d nod and act like they were getting it, but then they’d walk back by and 10 minutes later the waitress would actually come by and we’d have to make the request to her. At the end of the night we were still waiting on our check and our waitress was standing at the host stand goofing off with about 3 others. We sat there staring at them, they all saw us and still never came over. We thought it was funny at this point. The women’s bathroom was disgusting and run down. I’ve been in cleaner gas station bathrooms.
Food was pretty good, and the ambience outdoors was cool. However, this establishment seems to lack organized processes or systems. Our main courses arrived before the appetizers, and when we protested, the person who brought the food (not the same person who took our orders) took it away. Then he brought back the same plates a few minutes later (not the appetizers) and seemed clueless about the custom about appetizers arriving first. We asked him to cancel our appetizers--he nodded and went away, then promptly brought out the appetizers, one of which wasn't what we'd ordered. The place was crowded and it was hard to get anyone's attention, so we just sucked it up and ate what they brought us (including the mains that had gotten somewhat cold by the time we finished the appetizers). Even though the food was fine, we probably won't go back to this place.
We were in the mood for Seafood and particularly Lobster as we don 't get to Boston often. We were a party of 5 and had 2 orders of the mussel 's appetizer and this was so delicious, our waitress was outstanding and even brought more toasted bread as she saw we loved dipping it in the sauce. For main courses 3 of us had the lobster with shrimp over pasta and were all pleased with the taste and portion size, plenty of lobster and shrimp in this one, an order of tender steak tips for my son, and they were mouthwatering, while my wife had the mixed seafood, again plenty in the portion and taste. Nothing disappointed us, the server was very attentive, the food was delicious. We 'll definitely be back, and this gets added to our must do while in Boston list.
