It may be close depending on where one lives but is certainly not good and worse again is most certainly not fresh. The ambience is certainly cool and the waiting staff friendly and efficient but it all ends there. One oyster out of the selection ordered had gone completely off which was easily detected by the obnoxious smell something the chef should have noticed before serving and not left to the customer. The main course of seafood risotto was out of a jar as evidenced by the hard tasteless rolled up shrimp, rubbery calamari and processed scallop pieces. This is inexcusable for a restaurant of this supposed calibre. It certainly boasts enough about its quality and freshness but certainly does not deliver. The only saving grace was a very nice and pleasant young waiter and a Manager who apologized profusely that the seafood was indeed not fresh. I made a polite suggestion as to what should be done with a chef who is essentially trying to swindle the customer by serving such appalling slop. When spending one 's hard earned cash one wants to get value for money irrespective of the cost and not a night full of bad food and sincere apologies. I have irreversibly turned against Turners.
If you want ridiculously small portions that are overpriced, this is the place! Fish entrees are close to $40.00 and about four bites total. Wedge salad had about three leaves for $10.00, and dessert was two bites for same. My husband's seafood risotto was the size of an English muffin for $38.00. Very disappointed as food was not even that good. No wonder place was empty on a Saturday night.
The Red Snapper entree was overcooked and smelled very fishy. The sauted fennel made it somewhat palatable. No one ever asked how the meal was. (Guess they could smell the fish when they served it). The tuna ceviche appetizer was great, but the peach merainge dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste. Not impressed at all.
What disapponted. In a city with great seafood restaurants this one is a real NO GO. Very pricey and the chef can’t cook a lobster correctly...boiled lobster was overcooked twice. Other entrees very ordinary and pricey. Try Legal Seafood...much better.
The appetizers tasted like they came from a Chinese fast food restaurant. Our entrees were even worse! I absolutely do not recommend this place. You can probably get a better seafood dish at Red Lobster! The service was just as horrible. The bartender ignored us for a good 15 minutes before she acknowledged we were sitting at the bar.
